ISO Certification

We started Compliance Managers because ISO consulting was broken.

Too many businesses get handed a folder of generic templates and told to tick the boxes. Grant Gray and Anel Mitchley started this company to do it properly — systems built around how your business actually works, not how a template says it should.

If you’ve got documents but you don’t trust the reality, you’re in the right place.

You’re not failing because you “don’t care enough”.

You’re stuck because most compliance help focuses on paperwork, not what really happens at work on a normal Tuesday

You’ve probably seen some of this:

  • Templates that look good but don’t fit how your teams work
  • Procedures people sign… then ignore
  • Evidence spread across folders, inboxes, and people’s heads
  • Staff workarounds that feel “faster” (until an audit or incident happens)
  • A growing fear that the risk will land on you when things go wrong

Our job is to take that weight off your shoulders and build a system your people will actually use.

Our story: two consultants who got tired of bad ISO advice.

We’d both seen ISO consulting done badly elsewhere — generic templates, box-ticking audits, and consultants who disappeared the moment the certificate was issued. That frustration is why we started this company, originally as ISO in a DASH and now as Compliance Managers Group. Grant Gray and Anel Mitchley co-founded the business and still lead every engagement personally, building workable, audit-ready systems across ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 for businesses across London and the UK.

What clients tend to value most is our approach:

Legislation-first thinking

(so you focus on what truly applies)

Operational fit

(so people follow the system without constant chasing)

Audit readiness

(so evidence is easy to produce, not a last-minute scramble)

What it’s like when you step into our world

You get calm structure, clear steps, and a plan that works around your delivery targets.

No long lectures. No “here’s a pile of documents, good luck”.

  1. Get clear – We run a readiness review and show you what’s missing (and what’s not as urgent).
  2. Build what fits – We shape your system around real roles, real workflows, and real constraints.
  3. Stay ready – We help you embed ownership, training, and simple evidence habits so you stay in control.
  • Clear on what “good” looks like
  • Confident in what to fix first
  • Less isolated carrying the risk
  • Better buy-in from teams because the system makes sense

A quick truth: systems don’t fail — they fail when they don’t match operations.

Most people we speak to have already tried:

  • buying an ISO pack
  • editing templates for weeks
  • pushing PDFs around the business
  • hoping people “just follow the process”

Then reality hits: workarounds appear, evidence gets messy, and the stress returns.

That’s why we keep it simple: build around how your business actually runs, and make the right thing the easy thing.

Our fractional compliance managers utilize practical consulting and digital tools to ensure your systems are always audit-ready and effectively support your compliance goals.

Who founded Compliance Managers Group?

Compliance Managers Group was co-founded by Grant Gray and Anel Mitchley, originally trading as ISO in a DASH. Both had seen ISO consulting done badly elsewhere — generic templates, box-ticking audits, and consultants who disappeared once the certificate was issued — and started the company to do it properly. They still lead every client engagement personally rather than handing work off to junior staff.

What makes Compliance Managers different from other ISO consultants?

We build systems around how your business actually operates, not around a generic template. Our approach is legislation-first (so you focus on what genuinely applies to you), operationally fit (so staff actually follow it without constant chasing), and audit-ready by design (so evidence is easy to produce rather than a last-minute scramble). Grant and Anel work directly with clients rather than handing engagements off, which is exactly the kind of consulting we started this company because we felt was missing.
